On May 26, 2012 I was the Reyna Elena of Bambang Pasig City, Philippines.
This Festival is called "Flores De Mayo" it is a Catholic festival held in the Philippines every May of the year, this is a kind of festival that shows honoring Virgin Mary.
It wasn't me who choose the gown and everything. We have a coordinator who planned everything since I'm too busy with my internship during that time.
The coordinator told us that we'll be walking 2 to 3 hours and I have to wear a high heels that time. So I'm nervous because people would be expecting a lot from me since I'm the one who's going to walk last.
I'm not familiar with the Marians Titles because there are lots. Based on my research, my role is the Reyna Elena (Queen Helena) - the last member of the procession, she represents Helena of Constantinople who found the True Cross; this is alluded to by her attribute, a small cross or crucifix that she carries in her arms.
It took us 3 hours walking and it was very tiring but once you see people waiting for you to see you it would make you feel overwhelm that they cheer you up. It was unforgettable experience for me because it is a rare opportunity to be chosen to be the Reyna Elena.
